Introduction
Hello everyone, today i figured i would type to type and write to write, so i'm writing something that is long overdue.
Hello, my name is Matthew call me Matt, or Matty. I started playing Warhammer 40k the spring of '08 after getting a box of necrons, the necron battle force, and a destroyer lord. Since then my interests have spread to Space Marines, and most recently Flesh Tearers (BA).
Warhammer 40,000 has been a constantly present shadow ALL of my life, ever since 1st grade when i asked my best friend to this day what that mysterious plastic man holding a gun (that i would later know as a las-pistol) was doing in his car and became even more realized as 6th grade rolled by and i saw him playing some expansion of Dawn of War. "Oh hey, arn't those the same things as those plastic models you paint?" I asked. I remember the day he showed me the beginnings of his Tau army. All the Fire Warriors with their long barrelled rifles in awesome poses, even now i think Fire Warriors are the most poseable models so far.
The one thing over all, that cemented my burning desire to paint and play 40k, was the second we went down to his paint station, i dabbed his well kept brush in the pot of tausept ochre, and started drybrushing models.
After a couple exciting hours of painting the Fire Warrior I went home, got on my computer, hit up google and punched in Games-Workshop, then spent hours perusing what I believe was the Ork Codex, but decided on Necrons.
Needless to say, days turned to weeks which turned to months which turned to a whole year of what couldnt be described as anything but the greatest hobby I'd ever had. Then Mybattalion came into the picture and my world got rocked, but that is a story for another time.
