I like it especially the new scenarios mean that you have to think very carefully about army selection and started a beastmen army purely for 8th

Hey Bo Bo I have a game setup for Friday... your missions are 1850 right? I doubt my buddy would mind trying one out.

Awesome dude, congrats on the Player's Choice. You definitely deserved it with the awesome BA pics you have up.

Thanks!, I took the salamanders and I'd made some additions to them just for the occasion. Seems like that well and truly paid off!

Thanks buddy, good to be back. I really wish I knew what changed to make it work but I didn't anything special. Good luck with yours. I was able to use the "IE tab" 'add-on' to get here previously but it was really slow.

Yeah they're very mean looking. I think one of these days I will end up convincing myself that it's worth getting some models even if I don't play the game. But then that's how I started out with 40k lol.
And don't get me started on WFB. I have a very lonely looking Dark Elf Assassin, he's just begging for some friends.

Those guys? That would be the army (or navy, I guess) I collected too I think. Though most of the ships in the game look great, I'd happily use any of them.
Shame there's that slight niggle of half a planet between us, we could both fail to resist and have someone to play it with!

"Bo Bo must resist urge to buy Island of Blood to collect skaven... must resist. resist. Resist!"
I feel your pain, I'm currently resisting buying Firestorm Armada stuff. I never get to play 40k, why would I get into another game?!

With Heroic Intervention and Location Beacons, I'm looking forward to drop death from the sky. Now If only I could control when they came in from reserves...

Yeah, it was fairly awesome. I'm heading back today. Mostly to check and see if my Venerable Dreadnought made it in yet, but also to check out the 3 day old Gamer Funk. It's like a train wreck, you know it's not going to be good, but you still have to check it out.

All was quiet as I strolled into the hobby store just 2 hours after opening Friday. A few costumers milled about in preparation for the big event. A few employees were setting terrain on the 40K tables and designating reserves folding tables for scheduled events. It was open gaming for the next few hours, but most of the players were sitting round the front gaming table, chatting idly. I checked on my Veteran Dreadnought Order then headed out for the day.
When I came back Saturday at 11AM for the Warhammer 40K Apocalypse Game: Oh Dear God 2 (the sequel) things were definitely different. Players were sleeping off the debauchery of the previous evening. Nay..Of this very morning! Scattering underneath gaming tables, in the corners or against the display cases wrapped in blankets or sleeping bags. Bleary eyed gamers still blazing through the night into the mid day vied for position along side bright and bushy newcomers like myself. Games of all sorts were in play. The young ones crowded two to a seat around a small table playing Pokemon, seasoned CCG players played M:tG, waiting for the 2pm pre-release sealed tournament. The video game tables (LAN Xbox's) were humming, open for free play now that the FPS tournament had wrapped late last night.
I made my way through the tables towards the back 40K set up, passing games of Gloom, Bang! and Clixx. A hastily cleaned up D&D tournament stretched across a few tables. The 40k game was already in swing, teams had been drawn and setup was nearly complete. I'd arrived just in time for the opening turn. Stompas, Baneblades, Eldar Titans and Warhounds faced off from each other on a (relatively small for our usual apoc games) 12'x6' table.
I'd come to watch, so I set up shop on a table with a girl who spent the next few hours drawing impressive renderings of dinosaurs who turned out to be a 40K player gf. I'd brought a box of SM heads in need of cleaning for my Ravengaurd and set to work.
With 30minute turns, the Apoc game started off with a bang, literally as the Eldar Titan went down at the top of turn one. As I sat there with my knife and box of heads I spotted a local 40K player coming in late like myself. He joined me and described the last nights events, a 1AM Unhinged Magic Tournament and board game playing running into the morning. He had left at 5 for sleep and was back for more.
We broke for lunch and when I came back the place had gone from full to Packed! 46 players had registered for the Magic Sealed Tournament and were crowding over every table. My table companion had been forced to a stool, the drawings forgotten. Even my small Army Transport bag had been shunted aside to make room for M:tG ( My friend had been watching my stuff for me and set it aside before the card players got curious. ) Even the sleeping bag clad shapes on the floor had roused, recovering from the Poor Mans Magic tournament that had wrapped at 7am.
I grabbed a few late additions to the 40K crowd who like me were hanging out to watch the game and we set off to find some room to play a boardgame or two. We tried the front table but found that a Hero clixx tournament had been started and we had to scavange for space. Clearing a mostly empty desk we got in a game of Betrayer in the House on the Hill while turn 3 of Apoc began.
After the game I grabbed my stuff. All the Marine bits I'd brought were finished and even more Magic Players were filtering in. When I payed my tab for sodas and snacks, I had to make my way to the door pass three or four games being played on boxtops in small circles in the floor. Smallworld, SPANC and Starcraft the boardgame to name a few, along with Mt:G overflow.
