I've been toying with a project for a while now...basically how to turn something from my model collection into a second Demon Prince for my Nurgle army. Today I did it...well I'm doing it anyway. Don't know what the results will be yet but it's underway. I took the troll from the LOTR starter box that I assempled and primed back when the store was open (silly me, I imagined I'd need to put up a LOTR display...little did I know that no one playes it) I added a bulging belly with 3 boils in a Nurgle mark using a coffee stirrer to carve them in. I then took some of my wife's wire (she makes jewelry) and framed some wings. More greenstuff to fill the frame and add wing panels and it looks pretty good. My greenstuff is older so there were a few solid chumks in it...i stuck that on a shoulder as another growth. The good thing is Nurgle can look like crap and it will look great. Finally I added a Plague Bearer-esque horn over one eye and curving above his head. The only other thing I'm debating is sculpting the spear into a schythe (cutting off the spear head and adding the blade to the back), but I'm hesitant considering my limited sculpting ability. Pictures will follow once the greenstuff is set.
The comments still don't seem to be fixed because they don't appear on the blog (even after approval) and I can't see what you're saying to me! Very annoying.
I'd also like to apologise for my laziness recently; haven't done any modelling or painting work (it's too too easy to pick up the Xbox controller) and I am truly sorry. It's not that I don't enjoy it but it takes effort to get up off my bum and do something...
Anyway, I hope the good folks on the site admin fix my comments problem and I find the time and energy to get some more work done. Sorry guys.
All my best,
Nethertwist

Yarrick79 Painting today, probably a bit later but still.
I have officially gone insane on eBay. I'm watching a bunch of 40k auctions and few WH Fantasy auctions too. I'm just trying to get codices just for some extra reading.
Just a quickie shameless plug. I've created a very simple blog called "Terrain from Junk".
My goal with this blog is to provide a source of inspiration for various items of "junk" to be used in home made terrain pieces. I've setup an email address to accept photo submissions, but I'd also be very interested in anyone wanting to help with creating posts. My thoughts are that "junk" photos need a miniature to help show scale while "terrain" photos have no restrictions.
I invite you to have a peek and let me know what you think.
